One of only two artists chosen to perform at EAT’M (Emerging Artists and Talent In Music) in Las Vegas for three years at the Las Vegas Hilton, The Mirage, and The Rio, and won the coveted Spinrecords.com Jeep Cherokee in June of 2000. (see Spinrecords.com and EAT-m.com)

Laurie Foxx
Laurie Foxx is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma school of Business with a Marketing Degree. Studying Marketing/Entrepreneurship, she completed a special project, creating a business plan for a new store called, “Containers Unlimited”. She won the Entrepreneurship Award for this plan, subsequently submitted it to the SBA for a loan, and opened her first retail store 6 months after graduating. The business showed a profit after less than 2 months of opening the doors and had a history of 3 stores in Oklahoma and 10 successful years. During this time, Laurie further developed her songwriting skills from her musical training of 8 years of Classical Piano and performing and winning awards for her Classical work. Developing a repertoire of many songs, Laurie followed this talent while handling Accounts Payable for her husband’s business, Foxx Transports.
As a singer/songwriter, she has won awards, performed on TV and at many events and festivals including SXSW. At the Emerging Artists and Talent in Music Conference (EAT’M) awards in Las Vegas Laurie won numerous prizes including an SUV, the coveted “Spin Jeep” She is one of only 2 artists chosen to perform 3 consecutive years. She has written and produced hundreds of songs and 4 cds of original music and has written original music and scoring for various film projects. Her music writing and acting has led her to writing for film and TV. Laurie Foxx has written screenplays and TV pilots currently in various stages of production. Along with numerous acting jobs in film and TV, Laurie wrote, produced, and starred in her own talk show pilot, “The Laurie Foxx Show, If You Don’t Like It, Get Your Own Show”, writing, producing and performing the theme songs for the show.
Her win Dec 2011 in the Accolade Competition for Best TV Pilot for Caveman Theory is based on her book CAVEMAN THEORY, and subsequent books represented by the Dunham Group. Written, Directed, Produced, Lead Actor, by Laurie Foxx!
Her roles in Films, TV and commercials, and her own music video, garnered her experience in front and behind the camera. She is Producer through her production company Aqua Foxx Productions of the feature, “The Open Road”, in which she has a cameo role opposite Justin Timberlake with Jeff Bridges. She Executive Produced a film called, “Portal” in which she had a cameo role, and contributed 2 original songs for the credits of the movie. She played the mother in the Tv pilot “Abbey’s Road”, and wrote the theme song for the drama and also was a Lead in the film, “New Orleans, Mon Amour” next to Christopher Eccleston and Pamela in “Red, White and Blue, with writer/director Simon Rumley. Laurie Foxx is actively pursuing her career as actor/producer/screenwriter/singer/songwriter and through her production company, Aqua Foxx Productions currently has various film projects in the works.
